1.Is this auto rotation camera?
Answer: Yes. It is possible to configure the camera for auto rotation/ auto tracking. The camera will track the moving object. If there is a chance for multiple moving objects/ persons, it is advisable to turn off this feature as it might confuse the camera’s tracking logic.
2.Can it work in outdoors?
Answer: Yes. It can work outdoors. However, camera should not be exposed to direct water such as rainfall or water splashes. It is advised to install the camera under a covering. Do not put transparent plastic sheet to protect from water as it may cause condensation and possibly hinder with the circuits and the pan-tilt mechanism.
3.Is installation required?
Answer: Yes, you can easily install, only need to follow steps from user manual.
4.How to set camera to automatically delete previous data?
Answer: On any given day, the camera automatically deletes the previous data when the memory card becomes full. The data that is recorded at the beginning is deleted first. These settings can be done from the Lifelong app. It is advisable to check the recordings on a daily basis and take backups of important recordings to your mobile phone.
5.Is memory card necessary to see the recordings or can it work on cloud storage?
Answer: Yes, a memory card is required for the camera to operate. You can access the recording from the Lifelong App and save it to your mobile phone. The cloud storage feature is available on a paid basis and is not launched in India yet. Please check back later.
6.Does it have zoom function and can it be viewed on two devices at a same time?
Answer: Yes it has digital zoom function. This can be accessed from the mobile app. Yes, the video can be viewed on two devices simultaneously. Camera sharing has to be enabled in the app.
7.Recording without Wi-Fi is possible or not?
Answer: Yes. The camera will continue to record even if Wi-Fi is not available. But you will not be able to view the recordings on the mobile app.
8.Does it support Alexa or echo
Answer: No. This feature is not available as of now. Please check back later.
9.How many days recording possible by 64 GB SD card?
Answer: The total number of video recordings depends on the duration of each video. For reference, a 64Gb SD card can hold continuous recording of 55 hrs in HD quality and about 110hrs in SD quality.
10.Will connect to Wi-Fi automatically after a power-cut?
Answer: Yes. It will connect automatically to the preconfigured Wi-Fi network.
11.How to connect with pc/desktop/laptop (not mobile) for live streaming and playback?
Answer: You cannot connect this camera to PC or desktop. Live feed can only be accessed using mobile app.
12.Can we decrease the video quality to increase the time recorded?
Answer: Yes. The video is by default recorded in HD. You can switch it to SD from the mobile app to reduce video size and increase time recorded.
13.What is the length of power cables and other cables included if any
Answer: A standard 50cm USB cable is provided with the camera. The user can use any normal USB charger to power the camera. User can also use his choice of USB cable extender in case more length is required. USB power supply/ charger is not included with the camera.
14.How many cameras can be connected in one app?
Answer: Technically, there are no limits to the number of cameras that the app can access. But if many cameras are located in same internet connection (Wi-Fi network), then it may slow down the network considerably and real time streaming will not be smooth if multiple cameras are accessed simultaneously from apps. Therefore, it is advisable to use only up to four or six cameras in single internet connection, depending on the speed of your connection.
15.Can we connect this camera to different loud alarm or light when motion detect using Alexa or something else?
Answer: No, it is not possible at the moment. This feature might be available in the future. Please check back later.
16.Is it okay to keep the camera on for 24/7 without switching it off for even one second?
Answer: Yes, it is ok.
17.Is it Waterproof or water resistant?
Answer: No. The camera is not water proof or water resistant. It is not recommended for outdoor open-air installation. Always install the camera indoors or under a cover in such a way that direct water such as rainfall or splashes do not hit the camera.
